Tribute to California Senator Alex Padilla
As a part of a fundraiser for the charitable organization MEND (Meet Each Need with Dignity), the organization honored California State Senator and former President of the Los Angeles City Council, Alex Padilla.
Alex’s friends, family and colleagues pay tribute to him in this video; including Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg, LAPD Chief WIlliam Bratton, Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti and Congressman Howard Berman.

On behalf of the MEND staff, volunteers, and clients we serve I would like to personally thank you for posting the article entitled “Tribute to California Senator Alex Padilla “ that recently featured MEND on the reelpolitik.org . We sincerely appreciate the publicity as it informs potential clients about our services, attracts new volunteers, and rouses the attention of potential donors.
As you know, there has recently been an upsurge in the number of families who are in need of gifts to give to their children, such as clothes and toys; accordingly, MEND has experienced unprecedented growth in the terms of requests for assistance. Considering this, we deeply appreciate the exposure in The Free Library as it spreads awareness and adds momentum to our endeavor to break the bonds of poverty faced by the less fortunate in our community.
